Mannassas Virginia

My work sent me back east to Mannassas to do a Cricut Demo at an AC MOORE store back there. It was so much fun! I have never been east of Colorado and I have never flown on a plane before so this was quite and exciteing event for me. It was an experience I will never forget. I loved flying and enjoyed the traveling alot. I landed in Mannassas where they had a limo service waiting to take me to my hotel. I really traveled in style and loved every minute of it! Kayla flew out and met me there. We went to dinner and played at the hotel friday night. Then I went and did my Demo on Saturday and met a lady named Sheila who was Demoing with me. She was fabulous!!

After the Demo we went to the Mannassas Mall and did a little shopping and then we went to dinner and back to the hotel! Sunday morning we woke up EARLY and we checked out of the Hotel and drove into Washington DC where we took a 3 hour tour of the City and got to see a ton of amazing places....

This was the Washington Monument. It was one of the first things we saw as we drove into town.The capital building was beautiful and it was soooo big!!

I also loved the Lincoln Memorial. It was amazing!

I would LOVE to live in a house like this. The streets were amazing!

I also got to see the white house. I didnt think I would ever get the chance to see it and I did and I loved it! It was really cool!

The rest of the pictures are just of me and me and kayla chillin in DC. I was glad she came with me so I could spend the weekend with her! We had a lot of fun!

I loved every second of it! I will get to be going back this next weekend and I am very excited!

Other Fun Stuff....

What else have I been up to? Well most of you probably dont care but since this is kind of a journal to me, well it is better than nothing and I am way to tired in the wee hours of the morning that I now call bedtime to actually write in a journal, so I use this in a way as a
journal-ish thing! LOL! Anyways, We went to temple square for FHE and it was so much fun, we watched the new Joseph Smith movie (which isnt new, but I had not seen it) and I LOVED it! It was so good, I cried through the whole thing, the poor guy next to me kept asking me if I was ok or if I needed anything, I think it was making him uncomfortable. We walked around and visited the reflection pool and it was gorgeous and luckily on the night we went it was not that cold. It was perfect!

We have also been PARTYING it up! Our friend Lauren had a birthday and I LOVE birthdays, we really use any excuse we can to stay up all night and party! It was a blast! All though I will admit that even though we threw the confetti outside, somehow the little peices found their way into my bra and set up camp with out my knowledge, so that night when I went to change it was like a celebration all over agian as they all came flying out.... now my room is covered and they really dont like to vacuum up nicley! LOL!

Another fun night was when we went to a BYU basketball game and we tried all night to get up on the big screen and finally we made it! We were up Rocking the chicken dance and we got on the big screen it was so fun! Also, pretty sure Cosmo was hitting on us, I just hope it was a guy in there (you never can be sure) It was a really fun night!
That is pretty much what I have been doing lately, I work then play and then dont sleep then I play some more, then I usually work and play after that!!! LOL! One of these days I am going to go to bed and not wake up for at least 2 days! That would be so nice... but I would miss out on so much fun!

Allred Concert

I am so a week late writing about this which makes me super sad cause it was the highlight of my month so far!!! I have just been insanly busy at work and play that I have not posted it yet.

Ok so DONT JUDGE ME!! I wanted to get a picture with John so bad... and my friend introduced me to him and I shook his hand and I visited with him and everything but I was not feeling that cute and I felt stupid cause the rest of the group we went with knew him already so I felt like if I asked for a picture that I would be the stupid fan! So I pretended to be cool and didnt get one, thinking I would get one when I went to his exclusive concert on the 20th. BUT I have a business trip on the 20th and I will be out of town and will miss the concert so I may have missed my chance to get my pic taken with the man I love... big time frowny face!!!!

However, that sad news aside, it was a great concert we were FRONT ROW and it was like he was singing right to me! haha I loved it! He truly is AMAZING!!!!

This second picture is from his encore. When came out they turned out the lights and he had a spotlight on him and asked everybody to sit down and he sat on the end of the stage and we had a sing-a-long for his encore... It was so cool! LOVE HIM!

My new Collection

so.... I decided that I am starting a new collection, really it is cause I have these and I want to share them so I can brag a little. lol! I have had the oppurtunity to meet and get a picture with some fabulous famous people in the last year and when I say some... I mean two haha and soon to be three hopefully! But I think it is super cool and wanted to share!

This first one I took about a year and a half ago at Warp Tour, it is with Matt Young he is the lead singer for Amber Pacific! It was super cool to meet him, out of all the bands we heard that day his was by far my favorite!

This next one I am WAY more excited about, my friend Brooke grew up with Cove. He is the lead singer for the band Saosin and I love them too. They are amazing. We went to his concert a few weeks ago and it was amazing, we were on the "guest list" so we got to walk up to the bouncer and he let us in (super cool!!!) then after the concert Cove came outside to meet up with us and we hung out with him for about 20 minutes. He was so nice and we got to get a picture with him....And Last but CERTAINLY not least.... I get to meet Allred on thursday and I am hoping I will have a picture with him to post soon. I dont know if you guys know him but I blogged about him a while back... he is sooo pretty! I heart him!! He was the one I was in love with and was planning on stalking... but it is all about making friends with the right people. One of my friends knows him and is taking me to his concert thursday and he is going to let me meet him after... SO EXCITED!! So be looking forward to that soon! LOL!

Royal Bliss Concert

I went to the Royal Bliss concert the day before thanksgiving. I have wanted to see them for a year now but they have not been playing in town when I can go. But this time they were and I was stoked. I went with my bff Brooke and a few old friends Jed and Craig. It was a blast. It was at a bar so we were surrounded by drunk people and I dont think I have EVER smelled that bad after I left but it was one of the BEST concerts I have ever been to. I love love love them and loved every minute of the concert!

Jazz Game!!!

So last night we got a big group of 14 people and we went to the Jazz game! It was a blast and became more of an adventure than we anticipated! We left at 5:30 and we went to the Sandy Station to ride tracks. We had a blast on the train and got dropped off right at the game. We found our seats which were nearly at the top but they we only $10 tickets so we didnt complain and the game started... it was so much fun. We had some Suns fans in the group and the Jazz fans had the glory of the win! After the game we went to he Applebee's at the gateway and we had reservations so we had to hurry, well I was wearing my 4 1/2 inch heels (i know, who does that? but I had to becuase I only had my tall levis clean and I had to wear pants haha) SO I had to run from the wrong side of the Energy Solutions Center over to the Gateway in 4 1/2 inch heels which I have to say takes quite talent and I ROCKED IT!!! We ate some dinner, me and James and Colt ate family style and we all consumed WAY too much food! Afterwords we went out and realized that we missed the last train to Sandy so we had to wait there for about 30 min and we had fun playing on the train tracks (dont tell our parents lol) then we rode a train to murray where we had a ride waiting to take the drivers to the Sandy Station to get the cars and go back and get the group! Once we did that and got home it was 1:30. The night turned out longer than we thought but over all it was a great night and I wouldnt have changed a thing!!! I love my friends so much!

Am I Crazy or just Insane?!?

First rule to know if you are going to be friends with me.... anybody??

Here is a hint (or the actual rule).... Don't talk to me before 10 AM if you expect me to be nice to you. haha

Seriously though, I am NOT a morning person... AT ALL! I despise the mornings and really it is a well known rule to not even think about it before 10 AM. At work they used to tell new people they hired not to talk to me til then, I am pretty sure it was part of their training as a new employee!!

BUT here it is 6:20 AM and I have been to work for a half an hour all ready, am I CRAZY or just seriously insane?!? I am so tired and I am going to be lucky if I can make it through this day! Why am I at work at 5:50 in the freaking morning you ask??? Good question! Apparently I decided that i am too good for sleep.... not!! I LOVE my bed and my sleep more than anything in the world which is why I decided to forego going to bed last night. I was helping a friend (I was called upon late last night and being the good listener and sweet person I am I was happy to be of service) and so when I was done talking to this friend it was like 1:30... (not too bad, sounds about like my usuall winding down time) but then I ran upstairs for "just a minute" haha and didnt come back down until 3:30. So, at this time I decided to think rashionally and weigh my options. I could go to bed but once I was in we all know i wouldnt wake up til noon which would make me WAY late for work and I cant afford to miss the hours, or I could clean my messy room that I have been to busy to get too... then shower and go to work early... which of course means getting off early... which would include me napping! I took option 2, I figured if I came in late then I would get off late and my night is booked with exciting unmissable events! So.... here I am at work at 5:50 in the morning trying hard already to keep my eyes open (hoping it will get easier when other human life shows up to keep me company) and wondering if I am really as INSANE as I feel!!!

Woo Hoo!

I just found out that I took first place in the creative catergory for the costume contest at work! I was shocked but very excited! I went as Juno (I loved that movie and got the idea from my brilliant boss) she came up with the costume and I have to give her credit! But the role was so fun to play! They take our photos at work for those who dressed up, which is pretty much everyone, and here are a few of my favorites...I also entered a treat for the treat contest and took third place! I saw this adorable lizard cake on Tammys blog a while back but spooked it up a bit for the halloween contest!!!

Say What?!?

It has been a while since I posted cause to be honest I dont know what to say! I dont know what to do with my life and therefore I dont know what I want and I am confused out of my mind at the moment due to recent events and so I have just been sitting back waiting for some kind of something to come along and give me a little direction in my life. I think I am going through like a mid life crisis or something, except I dont plan on dying at 46 so I am thinking maybe like a quarter life crisis (does that exist?). Anyways I have tried to keep myself busy the last few weeks as to not go insane thinking about the things in life I dont want to think about! Keeping busy isnt too hard to do, I threw my BFF a birthday party and it was an all day event that turned out great (this is her...)
I have also just been working alot and going to the gym. But the big thing that has been helping me keep my sanity is that I have changed my attitude through scripture study and prayer and I decided that it is the Lords will not mine... I need to have faith that the Lord has my best interest at heart and he knows what is in store for me and will help lead me to those things if I am faithful. Which can sometimes be hard when you want things in the moment but I have a testimony that the Lord is on my side and loves me. It is times like these when I am extra grateful for this knowledge and feel so blessed to have this gospel in my life!

Birthday Bash!

Birthdays really are my favorite thing and I had hyped up my birthday party so much that I was slightly worried it would be a bit of a let down. BUT that was the best freaking birthday bask EVER! I had so much fun and pretty much have the best friends and family in the world... they all did sooo much to make the day special. It was a birthday I will NEVER forget! They let me sleep in and then get all cute before we went to lunch at CPK

Then I ran some errands (I had too, it was a day off work and I had to get things done while I had the chance) and while I was gone my roomates did an AMAZING job and decorating for my FIESTA birthday party.

Then the party began, we had tacos and chips and salsa and it was so fun to just have all my friends over to party and celebrate with me.

And last but not least.... we went to the Haunted Forest (I really do LOVE that place) this time was different though... some of my friends thought it woudl be funny to go ahead in the group and tell every monster slash bad guy in the place that i was coming and it was my birthday.... so about half way through one of the monsters was like "which one of you is Jessie?" FREAKED ME OUT!!! He knew my name and from that point on, every single one of them asked which one was Jessie and then personally and brutally would attack and freak me out! It was totally scary but ridiculously fun! I dont have a voice today from screaming.... but still, SUPER FUN! It was great!

SUPRISE!!!!

I will say that if I am high maintanance slash self absorbed slash incredibly picking slash demanding about one thing.... it would be my BIRTHDAY! I LOVE birthdays even when they are not my own. I love them so much that I celebrate all of my friends half birthdays too because in my opinoin, a year is a long time to wait! SO I have not only been awaiting my birthday (which isnt coming fast enough) but I have been celebrating my birthday week to make the time go faster! My awsome sweet friends made me a birthday week chain that I get to pull of one ring everyday til my birthday and they have also been so sweet and kind to sing me a new song every day up to the big day itself, I also get love pre-birthday texts and messages on facebook (I am super spoiled)! I have been basking in the attention and birthday glory! Just when I thought I had it made... I came back from my break at work and my super sweet boss had made me a cupcake cake and decorated my office! Thanks Natalie! Here are some pics: the cake was adorable!

The tip of the cupcake was a gumball, so after we ate the cake.... I had to take a moment and bask in my "birthday bubble blowing" glory! (The camera was not quite quick enough and we only got the before and after) HAHA!

Thanks everyone! Ya'll sure know how to make a girl feel loved and so far this has been the BEST birthday in the history of my birthday and I have not even had my birthday yet!

Totally Random Week.....

I had the most random week. But at the same time I have had so much stinking fun that I might kill over soon from the incredible lack of sleep! I have tried to keep up but I am about dead... so here are the highlights, then the details, in the last week I fell in love, ended up looking 8 months pregnant, found me a backup husband, got my pants scared off on a slighlty awkward but totally fun date, and had one main goal (to which is not yet been accomplished!) WOW!

Here it goes.... you all ready for this??

I fell in love! I went to a concert with a friend last Saturday and was really only going to hang with this friend cause I never get to see her! I had never heard of this singer we were going to see but then I got there and literally fell in love with him.... He was so pretty I wanted to cry!!! then he sang and played and the guitar and he and only got hotter! Serioulsy I now own alot of his songs and he is my new favorite, not only is he incredibly pretty but he is sooo talented... I love the U2 song with or without you and he does and amazing cover of that song! So this is my new love! (oh FYI his name is John Allred)I would say that one of my weaknesses is that I HATE being told that I "can't" or "won't" do something. So I ended up at Maceys grocery store in quite a pickle! My sister has this pillow that seriously looks like a pregnant belly. And I was wearing it to show/explain part of my Halloween costume idea (which you all cant know about yet shhh!) any ways my friend Jamal came over and we were going to go to Macey's to get some treats and he made the comment that I needed to take the pillow out cause I can't wear it to the store with him.... well then I said "I can't?!?" and he said "well you can, but you won't!" Challenge extended so we went to the store, he kept thinkning I would take it out in the car but I wore it with pride through our 30 min shopping extravaganza! He was totally embarrassed and to my luck I only ran into 2 people that I knew and they are close enough friends to know it was a joke! Luckily we found some cute BYU onsies at the store and took a cute picture to document the occasion!Being a "cat lady" is no longer an option! Unless my back-up gets married! HAHA I got to talk to one of my very best friends Dave the other day. I miss him so much! He moved in April to Iowa to go to Med school and I am super having Dave withdrawls. We were chatting on the phone the other day and we started talking about 'back-ups' and we decided that if we are both single in 7 years when we turn 30 then we are going to Seal the Deal (in the temple of course!) hopefully that will not be the case... not because I dont adore him but I just dont plan on being single in 7 years.... but who knows right?!? It is always good to have a plan. This is my favorite picture of my favorite Dave! I stinking adore him! He is and will always be a big time BFF!

Last night I went to the haunted forest on a double date with one of my cousins and a friend of mine and a friend of his. We decided to set each other up and go out. Super fun! My date was a little awkward (bless his heart) but it was still so fun and lucky for him.... we went to the haunted house after dinner and I was scared out of my mind so he got to have me on his arm all night! HAHA! I forgot how much I love the Haunted Forest and this time of year (thanks Maleen for opening my eyes to such a fabulous place)! It was a good time! (no this was not my date, in case any of you were confused)

And last but not least, I have ONE goal right now! And I have had no luck :(. The other day I decided that it is VERY important that I have a theme song!!! You know, something that when you hear it you think "that is totally Jessie!" but so far no go. I have had a lot of suggestions which were (mostly) all appreciated but I just have not found that "one" that is MY SONG! I am thinking of giving up and writing one soon haha! But I will not give up and I will continue on my quest til I find the perfect song for the purpose! (ooh maybe I will have my new love write me one!!) but seriously if anything comes to you feel free to share cause I wont stop til I am satisfied!

LOL! I am done with my little rant... I told you my week was random and if I could just sleep through next week I would but I can't cause I gotta work and I would miss my birthday which would just be TRAGICAL!!! ;)
